An Unexpected Catalyst

May 09, 20253 min read

When we feel drawn to change something in our lives, it often begins with an uncomfortable feeling. The mind quickly interprets it as, “something isn’t right,” and the reasoning brain rushes in to figure out what’s “wrong” and how to “fix it.”

It’s easy to get stuck here—in a loop of thought that weighs the risk of doing this versus that, each option spiraling into a version of a worst-case scenario.

Most of us know this place well:

Trapped in mental loops where nothing actually shifts. We feel the discomfort again and again.

We avoid the risk—and unknowingly, we also avoid the possibility of receiving something profoundly important. An inner knowing. A moment of real clarity. Guidance that shows us how to move forward with meaning.

The Simple Choice That Changes Everything

When that happens, I’ve learned the value of a simple choice.

So simple, the mind may quickly dismiss it as unnecessary—especially when it believes there's a problem to solve.

Step outside. Place yourself in nature.

There’s something about being in nature that awakens a different voice within us.

It’s not just the beauty or the stillness;

it’s the awe that stirs in your chest when you stand beneath a wide-open sky;

when you notice an ancient, twisted tree shaped by time;

or hear the steady rhythm of waves, the gentle ripple of a stream, or the pulsing current of a river.

Shift Without Effort

When our senses connect with nature in this way, something in us begins to shift.

We soften—without trying.
We start to listen differently.
We begin to sense something deeper than logic—something quietly alive inside us.

That’s why I invite you to turn to nature when you feel stuck in cycles of thought.

Because beyond the five senses—touch, taste, hearing, sight, and smell—there’s a sixth sense that quietly awakens.

It’s a deep, receptive awareness that doesn’t rely on words, solutions, or outside opinions.
When we attune to this quiet space, a different feeling often arises, not a push from the logical brain, not pressure from the inner critic, but something gentler… the voice of something wise within.

It doesn’t shout.

It nudges.

It sparks wonder.

It invites curiosity…not as a passing thought, but as a pathway forward.

That quiet invitation is the beginning of unfolding awareness.

And in that awareness, something inside us realigns.

We soften even more.

The curiosity becomes a guide, leading us—step by step—toward real transformation.

Nature Doesn't Fix Us. It Activates Us.

What unfolds will be more meaningful than anything the mind alone can offer.

It activates a knowing we are not separate from the wisdom we seek.

The clarity we long for is already within.

Time alone in nature is what allows it to emerge.

It’s a powerful invitation…

An invitation to hear your inner voice.
To move beyond the swirl of overthinking.
To return to what truly matters, one step at a time.

Divinely inspired words shared with love, from me to you.
