What if We Have All Been Under a Spell of Our Own Making?

Have you noticed more mention of magic lately?

It could be the fairy godmother kind, specific conversations about alchemy, discussions about fantasy, old fashion sci-fi, the quantum field and other spiritual concepts or even psychic abilities….

What if anything truly unknown to us could feel magical rather than scary?

What if we have all been under a spell of our own making?

This spell would sound like the voice of the inner critic, reinforcing the self-perceived flaws that tell us we are not good enough….causing us to see ourselves as not enough and then striving over and over gain to fix what actually is nothing wrong with us!

This could be seen as being under a spell, an illusion, even a delusion!

It could also be called believing in lies…

Regardless of what it is labeled, the critical voices inside our minds alter our life experience.  They hold us back.  They cause us to fight, to run away, to play small and hide who we really are.

As we dim our “light” believing we are not enough, the world loses the spark of our true inner spirit.  Then…we don’t contribute the unique special gift each of us are.

Over time, without the unique contribution each of us could make, the world gets darker and more troubled.  Then, as we experience this world, we fixate on all that is “bad” or wrong.

Self-perceived flaws causing our view of the world to go dark!  

It is as if we look around with blinders on and see dark everywhere.

Proving our false beliefs to be true as we hide our own inner light from ourselves and everyone else.

Ohhhh, we could say, “that’s terrible, how could that be?”  We could ruminate about it, we could question, doubt and cast vicious rumors about it all. 

What if we simply choose to look for the light and see the wonder all around us?

We could choose to consider what is special about ourselves and unlike any other!

We could choose to recognize ourselves as a unique contribution to the world!

We could choose to let light shine on who we really are and begin to sparkle!

We could choose to become magical in this way!

It is quite simple really; we could choose light over dark.

What if all that is wrong is that we have been under a spell of our own making?  That would mean we can change it any time we want!

I choose to sparkle.

I choose to illuminate that fact that we get to choose what to believe in.

What if that’s all that “magic” really is? 

Choosing to believe in our own light rather than what is wrong with us …

What a world it would be!
