Free Yourself from Procrastination and Self-Sabotage
At one point, I would have explained it as
having no choice but to overwork
and neglect myself and my family.
But now that I stand in a different place,
I hold a different perspective, and I see the world and the past in a very different light.

Let’s talk about something many of us feel but rarely voice.
That quiet sense of being overlooked.
Like no one quite sees the effort you put in.
Or recognizes the depth of what you’re carrying.
Or notices how much you hold back, just to keep the peace.
If this feels familiar, you’re in good company.
Most of us don’t know how to break free from that stuck place. But we can begin—by gently noticing the thoughts we’re used to hearing in our own minds.
Thoughts like:
“What’s the point? No matter what I do, it’s never enough.”
“Others get ahead because they’re smarter, better connected, or just luckier.”
“I don’t want to be taken advantage of again, so I better hold back.”
“I should be grateful. I have no right to want more.”
“If I let myself hope again, I’ll just be disappointed. Better to stay safe.”
Whether these messages are loud or live quietly in the background, they influence how we feel, what we expect, and what we allow ourselves to receive.
Here’s how they often show up in our lives:
We lose the spark.
We don’t feel lit up by life—not because we’re lazy or broken, but because hope feels unsafe. We start to function in a kind of emotional neutral: not hurting, but not inspired either.
We hold back spiritually.
Even when we want to trust God, there may be a subtle inner voice whispering, “What if it doesn’t work out?” That small doubt quietly disconnects us from the flow we long for.
We feel conflicted in relationships.
We love deeply—but when we’re not feeling supported ourselves, it’s easy to carry unspoken resentment or guilt. That emotional friction can make it hard to move forward.
We wait, hoping to be seen.
We hold out for someone else to notice our value or offer support—but that passive waiting can delay the very changes we crave.
We forget what excites us.
Comparing ourselves to others or feeling “behind” dims our creative light. We may even lose touch with what truly brings us joy.
We silence our deeper desires.
When we believe we should just be grateful, we stop exploring what we truly need—and without that exploration, nothing new can take shape.
So where do we begin? We start with something small. Gentle. Restorative.
Try this:
Place a hand over your heart. Take a slow breath.
And remind yourself, “I’m safe to soften. I’m open to more.”
Why does this matter?
Because placing your hand on your heart tells your nervous system, “You’re not alone anymore.”
It calms the stress response and invites connection—with yourself, with others, and with the Divine.
This one, small gesture helps you reconnect to your inner wisdom—the part of you that remembers you are already worthy, already loved, already whole.
Then, when you’re ready, try asking yourself:
“What could change if I believed I was already seen… already valued… already supported?”
Let’s not try to figure it all out at once.
Let’s just stay open—to new insight, new connection, and gentle momentum forward.
You are not behind. You haven’t missed your moment.
And you don’t have to navigate this alone.
If this message speaks to you, I invite you to connect privately with me so that we can dissolve old patterns that hold you back and awaken the peace that is part of self acceptance…together.
Schedule a convenient time here.
With warmth and love,
Jodi
